Why choose Saratoga Springs Day Camp?
Saratoga Springs is a wonderful place to spend your summer! The outdoor
environment allows children to experience a new setting through hiking,
swimming and creekwalking in the Redwoods. Our fantastic day camp program
and exciting, fun activities are deliberately designed to provide an
educational situation where children can learn invaluable social and
individual skills beyond those learned in the school classroom.
Saratoga Springs is conveniently located just
2 miles west of downtown Saratoga.
Does my child need to wear their camp tee shirt everyday?
We would like to encourage you to have your child wear their springs tee shirt everyday as it makes it much easier for our counselors to recognize the children in our daycamp. One tee shirt is given to you on the first day of camp and additional shirts are available for purchase.
Is there an additional discount if I have
more than two children or my child attends more than two weeks?
Yes, if your child attends two or more sessions or if siblings
attend camp, you receive $25 off the second session or second child. Register for 5 or more sessions per child and receive a
discounted rate of $200 per week. One week is $250, second week or second child is $225, Sign up a child for 5 or more weeks and pay only $200 per week per child.
Can my child attend camp with a friend?
Certainly. Simply fill-out the section of the
registration form
labeled "buddy request". Your child may have more than one friend attending
camp, but Saratoga Springs can only guarantee that campers be placed
together in pairs. If this is a really important issue to your son or
daughter, talk to the camp director in advance about making an exception.
How are children grouped?
Children are grouped with children of their own age. If you would like to be in the same group as a friend, just ask.
What will my children need to bring each day?
Campers need to be prepared to play outside and have lots of fun. They should wear (or bring) sturdy shoes to get wet in the creek. They should bring sunscreen, a bathing suit, and a towel everyday. Please be sure your child's name is on everything he or she brings to camp. We recommend that no clothing or objects of value be brought to camp as we can not be responsible for misplaced items.
Is food provided?
Absolutely. Saratoga Springs provides each camper with a delicious, healthy lunch and two snacks per day. Beverages are provided. Don't worry about packing a lunch everyday.
What if my child does not like or is allergic to the lunch that is offered?
We always have peanut butter and jelly sandwiches available as an option but you may want to consider packing a lunch for your child on that day to ensure your child gets the proper nutrition needed to keep their energy up for a fun filled afternoon.
What if my child is a vegetarian?
Some meals we serve will not include meat such as macaroni and cheese and cheese pizza. We also have peanut butter and jelly sandwiches available as an option but you may want to consider packing a lunch for your child on that day to ensure your child gets the proper nutrition needed to keep thier energy up for a fun filled afternoon.
What is your cancellation policy?
If canceling 25 or more days prior to the first day of camp, the $100 reservation fee will not be refunded but the remaining balance paid will be. If canceling 24 or less days prior to the first day of camp the entire camp fee will be forfeited. No shows will also forfeit their entire camp fee. If a camper needs to cancel, substitution of a sibling or friend, or switching weeks will be accepted as long as the cancellation notice is received 25 or more days prior to the first day of camp.
Will my Child be able to swim?
Yes! Swimming is available everyday at our beautiful pool. A certified
lifeguard will
be on duty.
What is the ratio of children per counselor?
For ages 5-8, the ratio is 8:1. For ages 9-12 the ratio is 10:1.
Is there an overnight?
No. Due to various reasons, we do not have an overnight. Your family is more than welcome to come camp at Saratoga Springs any time your would like. Just call the camping office at 408-867-9999.
What background, qualifications, and
training do the counselors have?
All full-time counselors are college students, attending Universities all
over the united States. All counselors have had experience with children and are
Red Cross Adult/Child/Infant CPR and First Aid trained. Counselors work
together under supervision of the director to facilitate an exciting and fun
learning environment and promote a safe place for children to explore and
grow socially and individually throughout the summer.
How do I register?
Simply fax the registration form to 408-867-0766, stop in the Group Sales Office between 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Monday through Friday to register in person, call us at 408-867-3016 to have a registration form mailed to you, or register
online at www.saratoga-springs.com.
We are sorry, but as of 2008 we will no longer be able to accept telephone registrations.
